DESCRIPTION
The ATEX approved Hengstler RX incremental rotary encoder, made of lightweight aluminium or high-grade stainless steel, is used within atmospheres where mists, gasses, vapours, or clouds of dust are present. The ATEX Hengstler RX encoder is perfect for use where atmospheres have the potential to combust.
The Hengstler ATEX certified RX incremental rotary encoder complies with the ATEX directive for use within Group II category 2, zones 1 and 21.
Aluminium housing ensures the encoder is light yet robust, suited to industrial applications where temperature extremes, shock and vibration are likely to occur. Stainless steel housing is particularly suited to applications where high resistance to corrosion is required, for example, chemical areas, food production or marine applications.
Mounting options are clamping flange only. Encoder resolutions up to 10,000 pulses are available with a shaft diameter size of 10mm and shaft protection class ratings of IP67.
Cable outlets are axial or radial; the standard cable length is 5 metres, it is possible to produce the RX encoder with additional cable lengths.
The supply voltage is 5V or 10 to 30V DC, output signals are push-pull with or without complementary signals, or RS422 with an optional alarm or sense function.
Encoders are ATEX approved, RoHS compliant and CE marked.
